8th graders from McKinley STEM Academy took a tour of First Solar’s solar panel factory in Walbridge, Ohio, to learn about how solar panels are made and about careers in solar energy.
Kris Wasler, Specialist III Workforce Development, led a lecture on solar energy and First Solar’s products, highlighting the efficiency and sustainability of their product.
Once students were able to see production of a solar panel on the factory floor, they made a solar bug project.
