1806 Madison Ave, Ste 3B, Toledo, Ohio 43604

Want a year of service that actually moves the needle on homelessness in Lucas County? The Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board (TLCHB) is hosting a full‑time LISC AmeriCorps Volunteer, and we'd love for it to be you.

As our Community Empowerment Specialist, you'll:
Get certified to teach Ready 2 Rent, helping people build budgeting, credit, and tenancy skills
Help neighbors experiencing homelessness connect to housing through Coordinated Entry (United Way 2‑1‑1) and HIVE.
Create outreach materials and share severe‑weather shelter information when it matters most.
Build relationships with shelters, housing providers, and community partners.

What you get:
 $16/hour living stipend (12‑month, 1,700‑hour term)
An education award for student loans or future schooling
No‑premium health coverage and childcare assistance, if eligible
Coaching, mentorship, and real‑world experience in housing and community development

No homelessness experience required. We'll train you. Lived experience is welcome and valued.

Send your resume (cover letter optional) to Kristin McKinley at kmckinley@tlchb.org
