General Description of the Organization:
The Perrysburg Heights Community Association (PHCA), a nonprofit organization located in Perrysburg Township, is conducting a search for an Executive Director. The PHCA was established in 1991 for the purpose of addressing the needs of the Perrysburg Heights Community, whose families and children faced longstanding barriers to success. The organization now operates a community center surrounded by a five-acre park. Working closely with the Perrysburg Schools and other collaborating partners, the PHCA provides educational and enrichment interventions, as well as other essential services, to at-risk children in the Perrysburg Heights community, the Perrysburg School District, and families and adults throughout the surrounding area.

Job Summary: The PHCA Board is seeking a passionate, motivated, organized self- starter with proven success in leadership, fundraising, organizational management and development of programs that serve the community. The Executive Director wil    l be responsible for staffing, operations, building and grounds, program oversight, grant writing/fundraising and extensive community engagement. The Executive Director will have the support of an active Board, as well as support and collaboration of staff.

Executive Director Hours:       Full time, salaried position.       On site presence dependent on ongoing operational and program needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative:
●    Oversee and manage daily operations of the organization while creating a collaborative, inclusive             and supportive culture.
●    Provide leadership and strategic direction for the community center and its programs.
●     Attend regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the PHCA Board of Trustees and provide                                           summaries   related to fundraising, programs and planning.
●    Work with the Board’s Treasurer to manage organizational spending and monitor
         budget compliance.

Grant writing & Fundraising:
●    Work closely with the Board and staff to raise funds that appropriately meet the programming                         needs and operational expenses of the organization,
●    Research, write and manage grants to secure funding for programs, operations and special                                  initiatives.
●    Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting deadlines and nonprofit regulations.
●    Maintain relationships with existing PHCA donors and expand donor base.

Community Engagement & Programming:
●    Develop, implement and evaluate programs that support the needs of youth, families and                                         community members.
●    Monitor program effectiveness using data, feedback and measurable outcomes.
●    Establish and promote positive relationships with residents of Perrysburg Heights.
●    Establish and build relationships with leaders in the larger community, including those in the                                education, business, government, and non-profit sectors.
●     Maintain and expand collaborative relationships with existing community partners,   
         businesses, organizations and local agencies to expand services and opportunities.
●    Assist with program implementation.
●    Monitor program effectiveness using data, feedback, and measurable outcomes to improve                              services
●    Promote the organization through local media, marketing, social media, public speaking, and                            community outreach.
●    Advocate for community needs and represent the organization at meetings, events, and public                     forums.

Education & Work Experience:
●    Bachelor’s Degree preferred in human services, social services, education, the arts,
         business, or related fields.
●    Experience in administrative role with administrative and program oversight.

●    Experience developing an organization’s vision and strategic plan, and aligning the
        organization’s work.
●    Experience successfully visioning, creating and overseeing programming for youth and adults.
●    Proven experience with grant writing and fundraising.
