Functions: Develop, market, and sell programs and services that will strengthen and expand the Society’s non-dues revenue sources while fulfilling the needs of the organization’s mission and strategy
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage activities comprising the partnership function to bolster organizational revenue:
- Maintain and build strong partner relationships
- Source event partnership opportunities by gathering specifications and pricing from venue representatives (hotels, convention centers, general services contractor, etc.) and vendors (bags, keycards, etc.)
- Analyze partnership opportunity expenses to establish price points that generate strong profit margins
- Work with general services contractor to prepare and optimize the show floor layout and exhibitor services kit, along with hospitality areas
- Identify non-event based partnership opportunities and author proposals for leadership consideration
- Prepare promotional language, partnership prospectus, and online sales forms
- Solicit orders by email and phone from existing and new exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers
- Facilitate fulfillment and delivery of all benefits included in partnership program
- Manage publications advertising, including TIP, SIOP Source, and other channels
- Assist with event logistics and onsite implementation at SIOP Annual Conference and Leading Edge Consortium, with special focus on ensuring superior experience for sponsors
- Develop and manage sponsorship reports and analyze financial results compared to budget
- Additional duties and projects as assigned by the CEO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Marketing, or related business
- 5+ years proven track record of increasing business sales revenue
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with technology-based platforms (association or customer management software)
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
- Ability to multi-task, demonstrate initiative, and work independently and collaboratively
- Some travel required, including weekends and extended hours
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, speak, listen, read, and communicate using such tools as email, phone, video conferencing, digital platforms, printed documents, and other standard office equipment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, kneel, and carry up to 30 pounds. When working onsite at a meeting or event, this position is very active, requiring extensive movement such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, moving materials, kneeling, and speaking for up to 16 hours per day.
