YWCA Child Care Resource & Referral is seeking a certified American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor to provide Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid training for child care professionals throughout Northwest Ohio.
This is an independent contractor opportunity with classes typically held one Saturday per month in Toledo. Additional classes may be offered based on demand.
- Responsibilities:
Collaborate with YWCA administration to schedule classes based on Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) requirements and community need. - Teach American Heart Association Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid courses.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction that meets AHA guidelines.
- Evaluate participant skills and complete required course documentation.
- Maintain current AHA instructor certification and training materials.
Qualifications
Current AHA Instructor certification for Adult and Pediatric CPR/ First Aid
Experience teaching CPR and First Aid to adult learners
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Reliable, organized, and comfortable leading hands-on skills practice.
Schedule
Approximately one Saturday per month
Typical class length: 6–8 hours, including setup and teardown
Additional training opportunities may be available.
Compensation
Compensation is based on a per-class contract rate and will be discussed with qualified candidates.
