Bittersweet Farms is a world-renowned leader in serving individuals with autism. We are seeking a full-time Retail Specialist.
This position is responsible for coordinating Bittersweet product delivery, sales, inventory, and accounting. This will include an oversight of online product sales, wholesale partnerships, event product sales, and on-site product sales.
This position will also fulfill direct support responsibilities at special events and within the Bittersweet Farms Supported Employment program as needed.
No experience necessary, we provide paid training.
Hours:
- 1st & 2nd Shift with weekend availability based on program needs required

Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office Suite proficiency, and accounting skills
- Experience in accounting or business software is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in business management/administration, finance, economics, retail or marketing preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities is strongly desired
- Possess and uses empathy in all actions and interactions
- Effectively work in teams with co-workers and participants
- Strong ability to work independently and be creative
- Ability to express patience in difficult situations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver License with eligibility to be insured
Responsibilities for the position include:
- Oversight and coordination of all Bittersweet production
- Work with the Supported Employment Program and function as a Direct Support Professional as needed
- Manage techniques, quality, cost analysis, complete and on-time production, safety, customer satisfaction, sales, marketing, and growth for all products
- Oversee online product sales, including the website
- Able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the program
- Coordinates regular and consistent attendance at various community events, both tent events and events that include to use of the Bittersweet Food Truck
- Must ensure that adequate preparation and coordination occurs for community events in advance, including any staffing needs, participant support needs, equipment preparation & training needs, product preparation, transportation logistics, and technology needs
- Establish a positive working relationship with local businesses and community organizations
- Implement approaches to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas, improving processes, and planning for upcoming equipment or process change
- Develop and maintain reports of product-related information
