Position: Kids Leader
Classification: Full-Time
Purpose of Role: The Kids Ministry Leader plays a vital role in the mission of raising up a generation of resilient believers with a strong foundation rooted in Jesus.
Cornerstone Kids serves children and their parents from conception through 4th grade by providing support and relevant age-appropriate opportunities for learning, worship, and connection.
Reports To: Director of Ministries
Oversees: Early Childhood and Elementary Volunteer Teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee Kids Ministry programming and events, ensuring a high-quality large group experience.
- Lead kids to grow in their relationship with Jesus through age-appropriate teaching, worship, and discipleship opportunities.
- Assist in developing content for key ministry moments, including salvation, baptism, giving, and other faith milestones.
- Plan and develop engaging small group experiences.
- Recruit, lead, and develop team leaders and volunteers.
- Provide practical and spiritual resources to support parents.
- Lead and manage special events within Kids Ministry, including Egg Hunt and Christmas Fest elements.
- Collaborate with the Youth Leader to create a seamless transition from Kids to Youth Ministry.
Skills, Requirements and Attributes:
- Follower of Jesus and aligned with the vision of Cornerstone Church
- Adaptable and open to change
- Strong team communication skills
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities
- Understanding of child development
- 2+ years experience working with children desired
