The Opportunity

The Human Resources & Employee Relations Manager will lead HR operations across the agency, ensuring our staff feel supported, valued, and equipped to serve the community. This role blends hands on HR expertise with a deep commitment to fairness, belonging, and professional growth. 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a trusted partner for employee relations and performance matters
  • Manage benefits administration and lead annual open enrollment
  • Oversee payroll, workers’ compensation, and retirement programs
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and nonprofit requirements
  • Lead onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives
  • Support leadership in building a positive, compliant workplace culture 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5–7+ years of HR experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-based organization
  • Strong employee relations and benefits management background
  • Working knowledge of payroll, compliance, and workers’ compensation
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000, based on experience
