Aurora Project, Inc. is seeking a full-time House Monitor, 8a-4:30p, M-F, to support the daily operations of Aurora House, a recovery-focused residential program serving women and families. This position is hired as a House Monitor with opportunity for growth, based on performance, consistency, and demonstrated leadership within the House Department.
Position Summary
House Monitors assist in relaying the mission and values of Aurora Project, Inc. by supporting resident well-being, maintaining house structure, and ensuring policies are followed consistently. This role is essential to creating a safe, calm, and recovery-oriented environment.
This position is not a management role at hire, but offers the opportunity to advance into a senior or leadership role within the House Department based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise residents during assigned shifts
- Monitor resident schedules, chores, and general behavior
- Conduct and document house walk-throughs every two hours
- Document observation of resident medications
- Complete accurate log book entries and concern forms
- Use de-escalation techniques to address conflict
- Serve as liaison to visitors and volunteers
- Maintain house security and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Provide clear shift handoff communication

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of recovery-related issues preferred

- Ability to follow policies consistently
Schedule
- Full-time hours
- Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday availability may be required
