Job Description:
Family Support Specialist- Contractor
Hours: part-time position up to 20hours a week, hours vary upon position needs and may include evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an appropriate discipline is preferred. Lived experience in adoptions, guardianship, and kinship, and parenting is preferred.
- Organizational skills, attentions to detail, sound judgment, integrity and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Lived experience with Adoption, Foster care, or Kinship is a plus, but not a requirement.
Supervisor: OAKS Program Manger
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) To provide family coaching as agreed upon by the contractor and contracted as needed.
2) To assist and/or manage OAKS support groups (Family Forum, OAKS ST, or other) as needed.
3) To check/ and respond to any emails from AAN
4) To attend training as required by AAN for the Family Support Specialist ROLE or POSITION as needed.
5) To attend other OAKS functions as needed.
6) Complete any documentation timely for programming as requested by AAN.
7) Other duties as requested by AAN.
