Supervisory Controls
Incumbent in this position works under the supervision of the Program Manager of the Brothers United Program, who provides general instructions on tasks to be performed. Employee is expected to perform duties independently. Work is reviewed through observation and written reports. Performance is evaluated in terms of adherence to established policies, procedures and guidelines.
Essential Functions
· Provides employment services to participants who are unemployed or under-employed in the Brothers United Program.
· Assists participants with soft skills development and coordination to Lucas County Ohio Means Jobs.
· Identifies jobs and relays them on Facebook and/or through text messages to participants.
· Assists the participants with employment goals.
· Makes referrals and assist participants with virtual sessions through Ohio Means Jobs.
· Attends weekly Ohio Means Jobs Labor Exchange meetings.
· Supports participants to advance at their jobs.
· Supports participants to overcome barriers to employment.
· Coordinates with local employers to be guest speakers.
· Facilitates evidence-based curricula.
· Completes short- and long-term goal sheet.
· Documents case notes on ETO database.
· Attends weekly team meeting.
· Any other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be able to type.
- Must be self–motivated.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings & weekends).
- Must be able to work independently without daily supervision.

Education: High school diploma or must have at least two (2) years of relevant experience helping people prepare for and find employment. Program Assistant
