Digital Marketing Specialist

About the Role:
The Ability Center is seeking a creative, data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to lead digital campaigns that increase visibility, engagement, and support for our mission of inclusion. You’ll manage multi-channel strategies across web, social media, email, SEO, and paid ads—while ensuring accessibility, consistency, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, and manage multi-channel digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, web, search engines, and paid advertising to build awareness and support fundraising efforts.
• Create compelling content and digital assets that reflect our brand and mission.
• Maintain and optimize our website for usability, accessibility, and search performance.
• Manage email marketing and paid advertising strategies.
• Track and analyze digital performance across all channels (web, email, social, ads).
• Produce and manage a variety of digital assets, including video, photography, illustrations, and interactive media.
• Work closely with the marketing team and internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Your Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 3+ years of digital marketing experience, preferably in mission-driven or nonprofit settings.
• Proficient with digital tools (e.g., WordPress, Google Ads, email platforms, Canva/Adobe).
• Strong content creation, project management, and communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, web analytics tools, and digital accessibility standards, including ADA and WCAG compliance.
Essential Physical Demands:
• Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Regular use of computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
• Frequent communication via in-person, phone, email, and written formats.
• Occasional movement within and between office buildings.
• May require use of a personal or company vehicle.
